What's in your cup?

Imagine this scene which would have happened with all of us sometime or the other.

You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.

Why did you spill the coffee?

"Well because someone bumped into me, of course!"

Wrong answer.

You spilled the coffee because there was "coffee" in your cup.

Had there been tea  in the cup, you would have spilled tea.

*Whatever is inside the cup, is what will spill out.*

This is a very simple statement / example. What does this tell us?

Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out.  When life gets tough, what spills over from your cup?

*So we have to ask ourselves... "what's in my cup?"

Is it joy, gratefulness, peace and humility?

Or anger, bitterness, harsh words and reactions?

You choose!

We as humans will find it difficult to choose. As "It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled." Not getting rattled when LIFE shakes us up, is not too difficult. Your mind set will do the needful.

In the present pandemic situation, the second option is usually what is found in most peoples cup. But remember, LIFE is testing our character, mental strength and acceptance of natures verdict as the ultimate.

Be safe. Be healthy.
