The Apple

How the apple became such a ubiquitous, iconic fruit across the ... What were you thinking when you read the word "Apple"? The story of Adam & Eve??? Or the latest Apple device? (This would be more likely!) I am talking of neither of them.
It so happened long ago that a hunter lost his way while hunting for deer in the jungle. All his navigational skills came to naught. Three days he had to be without food. Hungry, he almost gave up. Fortunately he sighted an apple tree in the forest. Thanking God for his fortunes, he rested for a while and than plucked some apples. While eating the first one, his happiness new no bounds. He was very grateful for everything.
BUT as he started eating the second apple, the level of his gratefulness decreased. The level of gratefulness kept reducing with the number of Apples he ate. So much so that by the time he reached his 10th Apple, he had discarded a few apples as according to him "they did not taste good!"
THIS is the law of diminishing gratitude. Taking things for granted.
This 10th Apple represents our lack of appreciation of the gifts of LIFE.
We the "humans" are represented by the hunter. The taste of the 10th Apple is as good as the first. It is just that the mentality of the person enjoying the fruit has changed over time.
Abundance of Everything. This has caused we "humans" to keep complaining about everything.

I feel that during this lock down we "humans" have been given another opportunity to appreciate the smallest of things in life. Talking to our friends on phone, seeing the lovely sunrise (for those who get up early) and also the sunset and what not. Most important, appreciating the fact that we have vegetables, drinking water, food, clothes, medicines in our homes. The smallest of luxuries in life have been taken for granted !
Daily form the habit of thanking God for keeping you healthy and happy.
Now you and I have two choices. BE GRATEFUL or BE STRESSFUL.
The choice is YOURS. I have made mine.
Remember - all of us have been  breathing the air that God has provided - free of cost.
Don't become ungrateful as you might have to pay for it.
T'is The Season To Be Grateful | DOYOU

BE GRATEFUL NOT STRESSFUL

Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay Home.
